A virtual compote loaded with sweet aromas of kirsch and fruit cake infused with olives, liquorice and spices. The dense purple color and the savouriness carries through onto a rich, full-bodied, textural palate with leaving an opulent, voluptuous finish with a firm tannic structure. Best served at 18-20oC as a fine match with dark meat and game, roasts and poultry with thick creamy and spicy sauces, as well as matured cheese.
