TRYGIAS BLANC DE NOIR
WHITE WINE FROM THE XINOMAVRO VINEYARD.
8 MONTHS OF PASSAGE IN OAK BARREL.
AN ATYPICAL BLANC DE NOIR!
This exceptional dry white wine is produced from black grapes of the Xinomavro grape variety which is cultivated in the Naoussa appellation area.
Cold maceration after careful pressing of the grapes, before settling. Small amount of juice from the inner white flesh, then stored in new French oak barrels, where fermentation takes place at a low controlled temperature.
Aging 7 months in barrels on fine lees with battonage, 6 additional months in bottle before leaving. The result is a full-bodied wine, rich in aromatic scents that blend harmoniously with its natural bouquet and the delicate scent of wood.
A unique wine that demonstrates the potential of Xinomavro to produce white wines with character. Golden color. Complex bouquet that combines the aromas of fruits and white flowers of Xinomavro with the aromas of the barrel (honey, nuts, coffee, chocolate and smoke.) Full-bodied with peppery notes on the palate and a long finish. One of the rare Greek white wines to evolve well over time.
